Welcome to Trezor.io/start, the official starting point for setting up your Trezor Hardware Wallet. Whether you’re new to crypto or an experienced investor, this step-by-step guide will help you securely initialize and manage your Trezor Wallet.
By using Trezor.io/start, you ensure that you’re downloading official software and following a verified setup process—keeping your digital assets safe from online threats.
Open your browser and manually type Trezor.io/start in the address bar. Avoid clicking links from unknown sources or emails to ensure you reach the authentic Trezor website.
From the setup page, download Trezor Suite, the official desktop application for managing your Trezor Wallet. Available for Windows, macOS, and Linux, Trezor Suite allows you to send, receive, and monitor your cryptocurrencies securely.
Plug in your Trezor Hardware Wallet using the USB cable included in the box. Once connected, open Trezor Suite and follow the on-screen instructions to begin the setup.
Choose whether to:
Create a new wallet if you’re setting up for the first time.
Recover an existing wallet if you already have a recovery seed from a previous Trezor.
Your Trezor device will generate a 12-, 18-, or 24-word recovery seed. Write these words down in order and keep them offline in a safe place. Never take photos or store them digitally. This seed is your only backup to restore your Trezor Wallet if the device is lost or damaged.
Set a secure PIN on your device. This adds an extra layer of protection to your Trezor Hardware Wallet against unauthorized access.
The Trezor Hardware Wallet is known for its unmatched security, simplicity, and transparency. It stores your private keys offline, making it immune to hacks or malware.
